A circular coral reef around a lagoon is called atoll. Coral is an animal found in shallow and warm water . a large group of coral polyp is called coral reef. A circular reef is formed due to change in the sea level. This first coral reef was formed in shallow water a volcano. Slowly, the sea level rises, but the coral continued to grow.
