Spared in the universe, there are many group of stars, know
as galaxies. Our sun is a star. It is in the milky way galaxy. It called the milk way because it color is just
like milk. This galaxy has billions of star in it. It is so wide the light
takes hundred of thousand of years to travel from one end to the other end. Scientist
have discovered that three are thousands of galaxies. The galaxy mostly contended
star and seem to have little or no dust and gas. There are many smaller
galaxy that are called dwarf galaxy. The
smaller are only a few hundred light years across and contain only a few
thousand stars. All galaxy are separated from one another by hundred of
thousand of lighting years. They usually occur in group. There galaxies so far away
from us that is it difficult for us to imagine that vastness of the distance.
Therefore , it is not possible to count the numbers of galaxies.
